seeyousoon - Standard Time Installation

FANG was commissioned to design and build a site-specific installation for seeyousoon's culinary residency at Standard Time, a multi-use event space in Toronto. The installation consisted of over four thousand individually cut and attached Tyvek ribbons, sloping across the ceiling plane to mirror seeyousoon's plating aesthetic and menu. By interacting exclusively with the ceiling, the design freed the floor plan for modular and dynamic furniture layouts, allowing the space to transition seamlessly from restaurant by day to dance club at night. Originally conceived as a temporary installation, it was met with such success that it has since become a permanent fixture at Standard Time.
